About the event
CLASS: Eventé (Long-Form Improv).
Prerequisite: Improv Principles.
Instructor: Ryan Huban.
In this 8-week improv class, you'll be part of an ensemble to learn and perform the long-form improv structure, Eventé.
What the heck is an Eventé? Based on an audience suggestion, an event unfolds in the present day. Characters are taken back in time to explore their backstories in a series of flashbacks. Players jump back and forth from past to present, ending with a run of scenes to show what happens to everyone in the future as a result of having attended the event. Character games, story narratives, comedic premises, time-jumps, tag-outs... Eventé has it all! Ends with a class show.
